In the spirit of Valentines' Day and all that I love, here are two of my newest fave songs.
Teppei Koike, member of J-pop duo WaT, released this song (Kimi ni okuru uta - The Song I Send to You) on V-Day last year, and if this doesn't make you warm and happy, I pity you. (Plus, Te-chan's wearing glasses! KAWAII!)
I recommend his entire album, but that's a whole other post.
Te-chan = my Valentine 2009.
The second song, "Konayuki" (Powder Snow), is probably as opposite from Te-chan's style of singing as you can get. "Konayuki" is the theme song for "Ichi Rittoru no Namida" (1 Litre of Tears), a series based off a true story of a high school girl with a fatal disease. It's deep and sad and hopeful, all at the same time. GORGEOUS.
Here is Remioromen's video - also English subbed for all my American friends.
ENJOY, and happy V-Day weekend!

IF WE CANNOT BE OURSELVES, HAPPINESS AND SADNESS BOTH ARE JUST LIES...
